The International airport of the Region of Murcia is an airport under construction located in the municipality of Murcia (Spain), whose works began in July 2008 and which is expected to be operational in April 2012.[1]
It will be the largest airport in the Region of Murcia, followed by Murcia-San Javier Airport, which itself will close to commercial flight operations on the new airports opening. Promoted by the regional government, its management is scheduled to be private. The terminal project has 20,000 original m² and a single track of 3 km in length. It is situated on the Golf in Murcia among the hamlets of Corvera and Valladolises within the municipal district of Murcia and a few hundred meters from the A-30.
